Please Welcome Our Newest Race Sponsor Vermont Farmstead Cheese! #VT50 #mountainbikes #ultrarun #VT #NH #vtadaptive #WoodstockVT
They will be donating some very yummy snacks for us to enjoy race weekend.
From their website:
Our farmstead and artisanal cheeses are all made in small batches at our farm and creamery in South Woodstock, Vermont. Our farmstead milk comes from our own mixed herd of Holstein, Jersey, Ayrshire, Brown Swiss and Milking Shorthorn. This blend makes for exceptional milk with each breed contributing a different component for a unique and excellent combination for cheese. Any other milk we bring in for our artisanal cheeses is 100% Vermont milk from local farms. All natural farmstead and local milk, careful artisanal, hand-crafted cheesemaking, along with our love of old world cheeses, have resulted in our wide array of delicious, award winning cheeses. ( I am so hooked on their Lillé (Coulommiers)

A Few Race Updates #VT50 #mountainbikes #ultrarun #VT #NH #hiclubvacations
We have a few updates for you…
Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Ascutney Mountain
The Hotel and some of the condos have been recently renovated. These renovations should make your stay on the mountain even better. One request-please NO BIKES in the rooms. There will be bike racks outside the building so bring along a lock for over night storage.
The Edge Fitness Center, Ascutney Mountain ResortThis year the Fitness Center will be offering post race showers for free (no guarantee these showers will be hot.) One request, if you’re really muddy-try to hose yourself off some before entering the building. There are hoses outside at each building around the finish line.
Live tracking of race participants
There will be NO Live tracking for race participants. Our cell and internet service up here in the hills of Vermont is spotty at best. We’ve tried to do live tracking in the past and it just hasn’t worked. Maybe when the State gets better service we can offer Live Tracking, but sorry not this year.
Chip Timing at ALL Aid Stations
Our bibs are chipped and we are now implementing chip timing at all aid stations. Relay Teams will be passing a chipped belt along to each team member.
Aid Station #9 Linda’s, LJs-Nope it’s Stones
Our Aid Station #9 (the one were runners will be meeting their pacers) has moved a little from last year’s location and has a new name-Stones!
Garvin Hill Aid Station Moved too…
Garvin Hill Aid Station is on the move. Just a little ways down from previous years. You all still get the SPECTACULAR view after you make your way through the aid station.
Wrist bands
This year when you pick up your race packets we will wrist band you. You will need keep the wristband on through the weekend. This wrist band is your meal ticket for Sunday’s post race meal. If you lose the wristband, you will need to have your bib to get your Sunday meal.
