Size and Weight
The Vermont 50 allows drop bags but there are certain restrictions on size and weight. No bag larger than 9 x 9 x 16 weighing 10 lbs will be accepted at the Drop Bag Table in the BIG TENT on Saturday.
Drop off Time and Location
You can drop your drop bags Saturday, Sept. 28 from noon until 8 PM at the table in the BIG TENT. Our volunteers will size and weigh your bag. These and ALL THE OTHER BAGS will be collected up Saturday night and sent to the designated Aid Station early Sunday Morning.
Label your bags with #BIB number, AID STATION#, LAST NAME and use something you will easily recognize.
Aid Stations Allowing Drop Bags
For the 50 mi Races:
#3-Skunk Hollow, #7-Greenalls and #10-Johnsons
For the 50 KM Race:
#2K-Ralph’s, #7-Greenalls and #10-Johnsons
Have Your Crew Carry Your Drop Bags
If you are coming with a CREW, why not have them carry your drop bags. You won’t have to wait around at the finish to collect your stuff when you want to head home. And you’ll SAVE LOTS of TIME at an aid station sorting through the piles of other people’s bags!
Drop Bags Returned at the Close of an Aid Station ONLY
Drop bags will be returned from an aid station ONLY after that Aid Station is CLOSED, not before (plus packing up and transportation time back to the finish line time.)
Shedding Clothes on Course
You can shed clothes on course at any aid station EXCEPT Garvin Hill and Cady Brook. Again-your stuff won’t be returned to the finish line until that aid station closes (plus packing up time and transport time to the finish line)
If you plan to shed stuff-MARK IT WELL, because you’ll have to sort through the piles at the finish line to FIND YOUR STUFF.
You are responsible for ALL your personal belongings. Vermont 50 cannot mail things to you after the race.
