The Vermont 50 is just 5 weeks away. We hope your training is going well.
This week’s RACE NEWS is about your CREW.
It’s up to you to share this information with your crew (and friends and family).
Please visit our page: https://vermont50.com/crew-vehicles/ for the details and links.
- Each runner, mountain biker, or run or bike team is allowed ONE (1) Vehicle to be their CREW Vehicle.
- Your crew (or family, or friends) are not allowed to make contact with you ANYWHERE on course, except for three (3) designated aid stations
- ##3 Skunk Hollow (50 Mile ONLY) Mile 12.0
- #7 Greenall’s (50 Km, 50 Mi)
50K-13.4 M, 50M-30.5 M
- #10 Johnson’s (50 Km, 50 Mi)
50K-29.4 M, 50M-46.5 M
If your crew DOES make contact with you outside of these three (3) Aid Stations you could be DQ’d so please tell them they can see you at these three places on course ONLY and at the Start/Finish area.
- Your Crew can carry your DROP BAGS –to the three designated crew access aid stationns so you won’t have to wait at the finish line for an aid station to close (+30 minutes)
- Your CREW can help support, cheer, feed, and hydrate you at these three aid stations, so you can get to the finish line before 6:30 PM on Sunday.
- You MUST Register your crew vehicle on Saturday at the CREW TABLE in the Big Tent (see photo above).
- You will need your Car Plate # and your Bib # to receive a car hang tag to allow access to the three aid stations.
- Directions for your crew to the three aid stations will be given at the CREW TABLE in the Big Tent (see photo above).
- Please remind your crew to OBEY ALL SPEED LIMITS, drive slowly on dirt roads, watch out for race runners and mountain bikers and watch out for local hikers, walkers, horseback riders and bike riders.
- Please review our CREW HANDBOOK with your crew before heading to the race so that everyone is on the same page.
