Our Race is 6 Weeks Away!

In just 6 weeks the 32nd Vermont 50 Race, a major fundraiser for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports will take place at Ascutney Outdoors in Brownsville, Vermont and in our surrounding race communities.

We hope you have been enjoying your summer. And if you are participating with us in September we hope your training is going well.

Here are a few things we want you to know as our race day approaches:

1. Participants-you have until September 5th to change your race information. 50 Mile to 50 K RUN,
   Bikes-Novice to Sport etc.
   Please email Mike Silverman [email protected]
   and let him know how you want your race status updated.
   
   
2. Runners-You can still register until September 5th! Spread the Word!
   
   
3. Cannondale is graciously donating a bike for our random bib number draw on Sunday September 28. You choose, mountain bike or gravel. Thank you Cannondale for your continued support of our race and Vermont Adaptive.
   
   
4. Cannondale is graciously donating a couple of children’s  bikes for our FIND THE HIDDEN STAR on Saturday, September 27 before the Kids FREE Fun Races start at 2 PM.
   
   
5. Crew-f you are coming with a “CREW” they will need an Aid Station Permit to enter the designated aid stations on our course (pick the permit up Saturday in the Base Camp Tent).
   Please ask your crew to review our CREW Handbook so there will be no surprises on race morning.
   ONE CAR per participant or Team ONLY.
   Contact anywhere except the designated aid stations will result in a DQ. 
   Pro Tip: Have your crew carry your DROP BAGS so you don’t have to wait at the finish line for your bags to return from the aid stations!
   
   
6. RESPECT-Our race communities, landowners and volunteers. Be kind, courteous and clean-Don’t Litter. Leave nothing behind but smiles and Thank yous!
   
   
7. Landowners and Volunteers-Please join us for our Post Race Meal, catered by Brownsville Butcher and Pantry and Live Music performed by the Jim Yeager Band
   At the finish line beginning around 11AM.
   
   
8. Volunteers-Spread the word-we could use some VOLUNTEERS
   (see below!)
   Especially on CLEAN UP MONDAY!
   Come out and join the Vermont 50 Family!
   Get a sweet t-shirt, make new friends, enjoy some good food and music.
   
   
9. Kids Free Fun Races-Spread the Word Open to EVERYONE under 14 on Saturday, September 27 (see below)
