Trail Work Day This Saturday, Sept. 11

Benny says, “It’s time to grab your work gloves and fix the trails.”

The Vermont 50-mile Mountain Bike or Ultra Run has been a part of our trail community for almost 3 decades.

Each year we devote a work day to grooming some of our trails that are part of the course.

This year we will meet at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 11 at Skunk Hollow Tavern upper parking lot, then head out to various parts of the course.

Tools of choice are weed whackers, rakes, and pruners/loppers. Extra tools will be available.

We’ll reconvene at noon for a debriefing over a beverage before heading home to lunch. See you then.

Don’t forget to bring water, and some gloves.Tick protection is advised.

Vermont 50 Needs YOU!

The Vermont 50 Mountain Bike or Ultra Run is just weeks away.

The organizers are looking for volunteers to help welcome the Mountain Bikers (50 miles) and Runners (50 mile and 50Km) to this race, which benefits Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports.

If you have some time the last weekend of September-please sign up and meet some REALLY cool people.

Pasta Dinner tickets will be available for purchase
at the hotel front desk all day Saturday until 4 p.m.

The 28th Vermont 50 Mountain Bike or Ultra Run Bib Lists and Race Waves have been posted.

Now is the time to PACK YOUR Drop Bags and begin planning your race strategy with your CREW MEMBER.

LABEL YOUR BAGS
Bring them to the DROP BAG Table on Race Weekend Saturday to be weighed and put on our delivery trucks-BEFORE 7 PM.

If you have clothing you plan to drop at the Start, Skunk’s Greenall’s or Johnson’s ,and your crew isn’t picking these items up for you, LABEL them with your Bib # and Last Name so you can pick them up at the finish line but only AFTER the aid station is CLOSED and the VT50 Volunteers bring your items BACK to the Finish Area from out on Course.

VT50 to Host FREE COVID-19 Vax Clinic

The Vermont 50 Mountain Bike Race and Ultra Run is excited to announce that we have partnered with the Vermont Dept of Health and we will be hosting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on race day, Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 12PM until 4PM.

We are happy to welcome un-vaccinated participants, crew members, and community members to pre-register so we make sure there are enough shots for everyone.

At this time, we are not sure what vaccine will be used, so the state is pre-registering individuals 18 years and older.

If we learn in advance of what vaccine(s) will be used at the clinic we will update you.

There is no charge for the vaccination and walk-ins will be accepted, but we ask that if you know in advance that you pre-register using this link –
