What is Sustainable Woodstock well..
Sustainable Woodstock, is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2009. It builds on Woodstock Vermont’s legacy as the birthplace of the modern conservation movement in its vision of a vibrant, inclusive, thriving community where people live sustain-ably, now and in the future. Their mission is to inspire, educate and empower everyone to live environmentally, economically and socially responsible lives.

Sustainable Woodstock urges everyone to recycle and compost as many materials as possible. This saves valuable landfill space and energy, and helps make the transition from a wasteful, consumer-oriented lifestyle to one that is more sustain-ably in balance with the ecological capacity of the planet. They will be assisting the Vermont 50 in moving toward a “Greener” Race!
