Ascutney Mt. Resort - our race hosts

You can't get any closer than Ascutney Mt. Resort to the Start/Finish Line. Ascutney Mt. is now affiliated with Holiday Inn, Phone: 800-243-0011. Book your rooms early; rooms are scarce during foliage time.  Certain restrictions apply: Minimum 2 night stay. Rates may change and room types are based on availability.

Woodstock Inn

Woodstock Inn Resort in Woodstock, VT About 30 minutes from the start, but offers resort-style amenities.

The Pointe at Castle Hill Resort & Spa

The Pointe At Castle Hill in Ludlow, VT (about 35 minutes from the race start). Mention the Vermont 50 to get a discounted rate.

Bed & Breakfasts

Juniper Hill Inn offers upscale rooms in a beautiful setting.  Minimum stay is 2 nights. Located in Windsor, approximately 15 minutes from the race start.

Snapdragon Inn opens Sept 1st, 2010 in historic downtown Windsor with a special price of $99/night.  Approximately 15 minutes from the race start.

Nearby towns 5-20 miles are away but have motels. Windsor, Woodstock, White River Junction, Springfield (all in VT) and Lebanon, W Lebanon, NH.

Camping

Running Bear Camping Area

If you still haven't figured where to stay, another option is this place.  They're about 8 minutes from the race start, close to the highway (close enough that you can hear it!) and are run by very nice folks.  Some racers are already staying there. They offer RV hookups as well as tenting.  Rates start at $20 per day for tenting, $25 for lean-to, to $27 for RV.

Ascutney State Park, 1826 Back Mountain Road, Windsor, Vermont 05089. 5 miles from race start.
